It seems to boil down to things he want to do once he has taken our money away. Complicated things to do with children, married women, earning, families, films, businesses, fuel, cars, high quality education and training, paternity leave transferable with mothers. He says he knows want parents want. I dont think I’d want my child in his nursery.

Why does he seem so pleased with himself? In our culture extortionists keep quiet about it.

He seems very enthusiastic. Perhaps he’s the person who makes everything so complicated!

Few people on PAYE who work for employers realize how complicated New Labour has made the UK Tax/National Insurance/Benefits system. Too many people just blame their employers.

No wonder the government needs so many civil servants and “government agency” staff to administer these systems, and no wonder there are so many problems with government IT projects.

Running my own company has been a real eye opener.

Apart from calculating all the various tax, NI, VAT and now benefits, I receive a raft of leaflets about the many new regulations.

A recent booklet from the Home Office outlined my responsibilities to avoid employing any “illegal” workers.

It contained a long list of essential actions which would not save me from prosecution but which “could help my defence” if an employee was found to be working illegally.

I am obviously guilty even when proven innocent!
