Wouldnt it be better if there was a list of all the parties and their manifestos in one place? This was bugging Andy Martin, so he did it himself. That’s more living proof that a Wibbi is the first step to getting what you want.

Andy writes

Why can’t the Electoral Commission put together a list of registered parties, their websites and their manifestos? They could even include the seats they were contesting if they were feeling particularly useful. They seem to have enough money to advertise on TV, so budget isn’t an issue.

Anyway, since no one else seems to have done it, I’ve had a go – all the manifestos I could find are up here.

Check it out. Final thoughts:

1. I wonder if Andy knows the MySociety/UKCitizens’ Online Democracy posse? If not, we should introduce them.
2. If we wait for the Electoral Commission we might expect the invitation to tender in 18 months’ time. They way Andy did it, it’s done!
3. Of course, once we’ve had a Wibbi and got what we want it’s time to reflect deeply and think about what we reallywant.
