Cool. Mapped out house sale prices. Sent in by Pete Zaborsky.

Nice idea but the maps are wrong: Presumably the locations are based on only the first part of the house’s postal code?

Could you be more specific, what in particular is wrong?

I looked-up house sales in the SG17 postal code. I did not register with the web-site, so obviously some features did not work. I used modified Firefox 1.05 browser.

However after clicking on recent sales in various local roads, the web-site always returned the same map with the “push-pin” in the same location. (The map actually showed the wrong village.)

Presumably the map and push-pin mark the centre of the SG17 postal code rather than the location of the particular street or house sale?

Hi R,

Please try again now… there was a small bug in the code that should now be fixed.

Thanks Paul, that was quick. It seems fine now.

Perhaps the next project could be to return house prices to sanity; also to stop our green fields and even gardens being built over.

Looking up Monmouthshire seems to offer only CF3 in Cardiff some 30 miles away.
