Stefan’s excellent tube disruption visualisation has attracted some good comments, eg

I also hear that the Japanese minister of Transport appears on television once a year to “apologise” for the 45 minutes (or so) of accumulated delays.

This appeals to me immensely as I think it would be a great postscript to the Queens Christmas Speech… ministers apologising for stuff. The Health Minister apologising for NHS waiting lists, the Transport Minister apologising for train delays and the M25, and the Education Minister apologising for pretty much everything else.

Yes indeeed. And Gordon Brown apologising for demanding all those complicated and burdensome taxes.

Meanwhile Ben Metcalfe has produced an RSS feed of tube delays which he apologises for plugging (but hey, that’s cool)..
