Just off to China for a Young Foundation/CCPE/British Council conference. Lots going through my head, including “what can I Google while I’m out there?” and Tony Benn’s comment (attrib. 2005)

“I’ll tell you what questions to ask the next time you meet a powerful person: What power have you got? Where did you get it from? In whose interests do you exercise it? To whom are you accountable? And, how can we get rid of you?”

Better leave that stuff out, and just listen.
