The Grauniad reports that the instigator of serious efforts to introduce ID cards in the UK, D Blunkett Esq, has just suggested we don’t need them after all.
Scrap ID cards plan, says David Blunkett. Passports with biometric data would do same job and be cheaper than £5bn scheme, says former home secretary
I think this calls for a re-visit to the best pertinent art of ’em all….. ENJOY ECLECTECH at its best!
Still here? Ok, since you are…let’s also enjoy the database-rag, featuring our very own current Home Secretary, Jaqui Smith (spot the ORG Freedom Not Fear piccie!)

In fact, I think this might herald a brief rehearsal of the “Dance of the intellectual pygmies”. Room 10 is not large, so I wont be expansive about it….
Or, as Franz Kafka might have put it: “One morning David “Clunkett” Blunkett awoke from anxious dreams to find he had metamorphosed into an intellectual pygmy.”
I LOVE the database rag – never saw it.
