Watch out Goliath.

First the Godalming Quakers decided they were “acting under concern” about the database state. That’s pretty much as strong as language gets in the Society of Friends before it’s deemed to be “provocative”.

Now the Oaklands medical practice of Yateley Hampshire has ripped gloves off in its fight against the database state, according to El Reg

Dr Neil Bhatia…said: “The government can in an instant, effortlessly and for free lose 25m child benefit records but appears to have neither the funds not the technological capability to delete an individual medical record uploaded to the Summary Care Record.”

Ouch. Well spoken Dr B.

Among many other pertinent quotes he reminds us of the solemn oath:

“I will respect the privacy of my patients, for their problems are not disclosed to me that the world may know.” – Hippocratic Oath, modern version (1964)

There’s a wonderful obsessive-compulsive quality to Dr Bhatia’s opt-out web site. Oh to put him in a small room with Richard Granger for a couple of hours… Go doc!
