Hurrah! The gold-standard benighted ID card protects us from dangerous radicals like Adam Laurie….for about 12 minutes (says the often vile Daily Mail):

With a few more keystrokes on his computer, Laurie changes the cloned card so that whereas the original card holder was not entitled to benefits, the cloned chip now reads ‘Entitled to benefits’. As a chilling twist, he adds a message that would be visible to any police officer or security official who scanned the card: ‘I am a terrorist – shoot on sight.’

*Sigh* Grrrrrr

Wibbi we placed less trust in easily forged, damaged and subverted technical solutions to life’s human problems?

Wibbi security measures were opened to transparent scrutiy at a far earlier stage.

Let’s not say Wibbi people like Adam Laurie were less smart, or Wibbi they all worked under lock and key in Cheltenham. I love the fact he’s as smart as he is, and spreading the light he does. Oi – Daily Mail. He’s not “your” expert; he’s “our” expert. Hands off!
